Wedding Wishes to Vincent & Zhenmin

First of October was certainly a popular date to get hitched. I hoped on as entourage for Tricia & Alvin as they performed for two couples who engaged Red Kite.

The lunch couple, as we would call it, was Vincent and Zhenmin, who chose Amara Hotel’s Grand Ballroom as their venue.

Tailored according to the couple’s requests, Tricia & Alvin entertained the guests with their multilingual song selection catered for happy yuppies and oldie folkies.

happy ending.

Wedding of Ee How & Lifeng

Gabriel & Sharon performed Canon in D for the couple who loved traditions. It was held in Shangri-La’s Waterfall Terrace.

After we moved to the Tower ballroom, where Juliet, Sharon, Shawn & Eddie Jansen were performing, a little girl came up and wanted to sing. Talk about having what it takes to be a star.

A friend of the groom mom did an item for them, called “yue liang dai biao wo de xin”.

Wedding of Sara & Melvin

Sara & Melvin hired Imelda, Wah Yong and James to perform at their wedding to bring good entertainment to their guests.

Melvin ups the romance notch by serenading his wife

Sara & Melvin are a very blessed couple who are surrounded by a great bunch of friends. They did a video for them and staged a song presentation, rewriting Que Sara Sara in their own words.

Wedding of Kristen & Shu Yii

Held at Novotel, Kristen & Shu Yii had a cosy wedding with Tifanny, DOminic & Aynsley entertaining their guests. Red Kite also served as emcee for the night

Dominic singing Xiao Wei as a request for the bride.

“Thanks so much for the great performance on Saturday! Please convey my thanks to the band. I especially love Dominic on saxophone!”

Alex & Angeline Weds 25 September 2010

So, my series of events and sequencing are a bit screwed up, but I need to do my musicians and events justice anyway. So smack! Here you go.

Alex & Angeline hired the now famous Singapore Char Siew Baos (if you haven’t realised that they appear on your TV set each week for One Moment of Glory, for which I regrettably had no time to blog about – despite having made an awesome placard for their live shows).

Back to normalcy, here they are, still gigging for Red Kite.

(I must say they are more fashionably sensitive now, looking good, y’all, this is one of the good things media does to you right?)

Action-packed Wedding

The Wedding Concierge allowed us to witness what we would describe as an action packed wedding, because there were shaolin monks breaking wood and throwing each other around in the middle of the ballroom. Of course, the music element was injected prior to and after this to provide the standard dinner entertainment for the guests, which they indubitably enjoyed as well.

Featuring Imelda, Wah Yong & James. And I bumped into Jeremy again, the very talented billingual emcee.
