Sober Till Sunday and Cassidy Anderson performed at B Bendel’s party at Ritz Carlton on 31 March. The place was dressed in an Alice in Wonderland theme, and even had hedges and mushrooms. The guests was donned in the various characters and it was really just a mad hatter’s affair!

Shell Family Carnival 2011 happened on a sunny and breezy Sunday evening by Tanjong Beach at Sentosa. Packed with a long line of fun-filled booths for the children, parents and grandfathers joined in the fun too with games (brought to us by the event organiser & social enterprise, Adrenalin) which brought much nostalgia among the older folks, and novelty to the young. From simple board games to those throwing games commonly found in pasar malams in the last decade, it was a indescribable delight to relive our past again.
Syltra Lee & her band added up to the carnival’s nostalgic mood as she crooned her selection of oldies including English and Chinese favorites in which the older crowd eventually sung and swung along. Of course, she hardly neglected her usual young crowd with the latest hits from the late Amy Winehouse, Duffy and many more.
Syltra shows off her repertoire of old and new in her mashup of Every Breath You Take, Beautiful (by Sean Kingston) and Stand By Me.
With Def Leppard on the list, there’s no stopping this couple from rocking their night away. With a carefully crafted setlist – it is their night afterall – and even the carefully selected house music (sing and big band style), ambience was created to perfection.
The chosen ones to deliver was Impromptu – Rizal on vox, Didie on bass, Ayam on guitar, Reno on keys and Boy on drums.
