The more the merrier – that was the policy the Singapore char siew baos adhered to when they planned a show for this year’s CNY celebrations at the Esplanade Water front.
Apart from just four of them, they invited SOnny’s percussion group Tribal Fusion, Japanese guitar Kuge Kiyosaki, LSK, Elvin Yeo, Boey and Peter Diaz on stage for their performances.
Here are some photos:

spot Hong Ming who was also invited up on stage (planned of course) to perform a song!
Under a special feature by the Esplanade, Syltra & Shermin Lee, both musicians but whom have chosen different paths in their music, performed together on 5 & 6 October.
Themed ‘I Love You Sister!’, the duo performed at the Concourse to light acoustic favourites, engaging the crowd as well as, of course, their parents.
As we turn off the lights and leave everything else on, the world celebrates Earth Hour together every final week of march annually. feZZik was told that the earth hour would coincide with their performances, so they played on, slow and nice unchained melodies for the dim hour. all flood lights broke loose before and after.
So it was 15th Feb and many other concerts were going on, but the definitive indie crowd huddled together at the concert hall of the Esplanade. Thus surrounded by artistry of lights and shadows, gloom and boom of voice.
On 9 and 10 September, Rima & friends and Asila & Gang, brought to the crowd some lively English acoustic numbers, mixed with some Hari Raya favourites. Asila’s secret weapon was the Hindi songs though, they got the bangladeshis dancing.
