A Date with Spring, Singapore Char Siew Baos & Many Friends

The more the merrier – that was the policy the Singapore char siew baos adhered to when they planned a show for this year’s CNY celebrations at the Esplanade Water front.

Apart from just four of them, they invited SOnny’s percussion group Tribal Fusion, Japanese guitar Kuge Kiyosaki, LSK, Elvin Yeo, Boey and Peter Diaz on stage for their performances.

Here are some photos:

spot Hong Ming who was also invited up on stage (planned of course) to perform a song!

Esplanade – Hari Raya Celebrations

On 9 and 10 September, Rima & friends and Asila & Gang, brought to the crowd some lively English acoustic numbers, mixed with some Hari Raya favourites. Asila’s secret weapon was the Hindi songs though, they got the bangladeshis dancing.

Broken Social Scene Singapore 2010

Sorreh this came very late. But I still do remember what I wanted to say about the band.

if you wanna qualify to be a part of BSS, you will have to:

1. play more than 3 instruments very well and be able to sing

2. drink beer on stage

3. look wearing vintage clothes

4. spot a messy and untidy hairdo

I thought the gig was great, and the band amazed me with their talent. There was a screw up with the last song though.

Procrastination Ate Me Up

And so, the events that I will be relating to you will not be in order. Procrastination never felt so real.

Here’s the Esplanade Funky Monkey Weekend. Didn’t get that many pictures though, but I have some of The Project. The other bands that performed were The Raindogs and RSF.

Crazy moshers. Ok no, just pure dancing. I’ve never seen something like that at the outdoor before
